Education

Historically, the Sabar tribe community has faced the stigma of born criminals, thereby deprived of many entitlements including basic education. The overall educational attainment among them is significantly low. For the holistic development of the community, education has been identified as an important tool. Almost all children are the 1st- generation learners and the apathy among parents towards children is one of the major causes of low literacy among the Sabar community. Currently, Sabar Samity, with institutional and individual donations, is running 17 CLCs having 650+ students, a Sabar Girls' Hostel, Forest education with the CLC students and Girls' of the hostel, and promoting the students for their higher education.
